By accessing or using channelid.app ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

channelid.app is a web tool that resolves YouTube channel URLs, @handles, /c/ paths, and /user/ paths into their corresponding YouTube Channel IDs using the YouTube Data API v3 and web scraping fallback. The Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google LLC.

2. Accounts and Access

You must sign in via a supported OAuth provider (Google, Microsoft, GitHub, or Apple) to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Plans and Billing

The Service offers four tiers:

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

All prices are in USD. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our merchant of record. Applicable taxes are added by Paddle where required.

4. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. In short: 7-day money-back on the first charge for the Basic and Pro subscription tiers. The Unlimited Desktop App tier and any charges associated with Desktop App licensing are non-refundable because activating the Desktop App issues a license key bound to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to circumvent rate limits, lookup caps, or access controls; (c) reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service; (d) use the Service to facilitate harassment or abuse of YouTube creators or users; (e) share, resell, or sublicense your subscription or desktop license key.

6. Lookup Caps

Each tier (other than Unlimited) has a cap on the number of successful channel-ID resolutions, listed on the pricing page. Caps apply on a rolling 30-day window for the Basic and Pro tiers, and as a one-time lifetime allowance for the Free tier. The Unlimited Desktop App tier has no cap. Caps reset automatically; no action is required from you. We reserve the right to investigate and throttle automated or abusive usage patterns even on the Unlimited Desktop App tier.

7. Desktop License

The desktop applications run primarily on your local machine and contact our servers only for license activation, periodic heartbeat (status check), and key recovery. Each desktop license is bound to one active machine at a time. You may transfer the license to a new machine up to three times by deactivating it on the current machine first.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on the YouTube Data API v3, which is subject to Google's quotas and policies. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and content on channelid.app is owned by the operator. YouTube channel IDs returned by the Service are factual data not owned by us and may be used for any lawful purpose.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. YouTube API changes may affect lookup results.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraud, chargeback abuse, or sustained inability to comply with payment terms. You may close your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and emailing support@channelid.app.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting paying users will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect, with a clear opportunity to cancel before the change applies.
